“Back to School soon for our Neighbors’ Children!” Lois, Callie, and others suggested we have a "Mini Back to School ....School Supply Collection. For just one week, we will collect items and distribute supplies on August 8th. We are asking for pencils, crayons, markers, glue, notebook paper, glue stick, and a binder (for notebook paper.) Please leave in the pantry foyer or in food boxes at your church.
In July, we have been blessed with many groups of students and adults including local scouts, to Mission Groups from near and far, and a Garden Club from North Asheville. They have worked diligently in the garden helping us harvest produce distributed on Saturdays at the pantry. We have many faithful volunteers who come during the week and on Thursdays to assist in the hoop houses or garden. Thank you for your time and commitment.
Teaser for next week’s Newsletter.........Who left 300+ Surprises piled high on our porch.....Truly a COOL donation!!!
Saturday, we welcomed 146 families representing 532 individuals. There were 11 new families representing 25 family members. Thank you, volunteers and our Spanish and Ukraine interpreters for your assistance with shopping.
On behalf of our Pantry Board, we express our heartfelt gratitude for your generous food and monetary donations to our pantry. Your donations will make a significant impact on the lives of those in our community who are struggling with food insecurity.
