Kim Potthoff was our "GO to Person" this past Saturday. Kim serves as our treasurer and a grant writer for our pantry, Thank You! However I bet one of the highlights of his week was the opportunity to travel in a Penske truck, driven by Doug Arney from Hendersonville to Sav-Mor to pick up a several thousand pound bulk order for the pantry. They returned to Buncombe County to load our Mini-Manna delivery from Manna Food Bank. Whew what a "ton" of fun on Wednesday! Let's not forget the many volunteers who helped unload, stock our shelves, and inventory areas! Thank you volunteers!

Our pantry garden has put the "F" in flourishing!!! I have never seen it so filed with fresh produce. Doug and crew ... and Mission groups have labored weekly watering, weeding, and watching the seeds and starter plants grow to fruition. The pole beans are dangling from at least a six foot stake and easy to pick. Our neighbors have thoroughly enjoyed receiving a "mess of beans" they are offered. (If you're not from around here...it's enough to feed 3-4) Cantaloupes, squash, watermelons, tomatoes, peppers are just a few of the items that are worth stopping by the garden to see firsthand. Bring your camera!

Saturday, we welcomed 124 families representing 465 individuals. There were 8 new families' representing 26 family members. Thank you, volunteers and our Spanish and Ukraine interpreters for your assistance with shopping.

On behalf of our Pantry Board, we express our heartfelt gratitude for your generous food and monetary donations to our pantry. Your donations will make a significant impact on the lives of those in our community who are struggling with food insecurity.
