Time flies when your parking lot is filled with vehicles and your garden overflows with organic produce! Did I mention that the pantry shelves were filled to the max and faithful volunteers arrived early...eager to assist in the pantry distribution!!! Our “Go-To” Person for the week was Martha. With her knack for organization and logistics, we began distributing food a bit before 8:00. The flow continued throughout the morning.

Neighbors not only shopped for food but were offered school supplies for their children as bells are ringing to welcome students back to school. Cantaloupes, squash, peppers, tomatoes, green beans, jalapenos, and beets provided hundreds of pounds of veggies from our garden.

Several students from the Diocese Youth Council assisted in offering a variety of fresh produce to each family. Again what a blessing we are able to offer fresh organic produce each week! Our Diocese also offers a program for young adults who may beinterested in pursuing a career working with non-profits, seminary, or other service oriented careers. Please welcome Julani, a recent college graduate and our intern, to our pantry family. This Diocese program will help him discern his career path working with non profits.

Saturday, we welcomed 167 families representing 618 individuals. There were 11 new families representing 36 individuals. Thank you, volunteers and our Spanish and Ukraine interpreters for your assistance with shopping.

On behalf of our Pantry Board, we express our heartfelt gratitude for your generous food and monetary donations to our pantry. Your donations will make a significant impact on the lives of those in our community who are struggling with food insecurity.
