What an incredible day celebrating Rogation Day, with the Blessing of The Lord's Acre of Fletcher and honoring our Volunteers with an Appreciation Dinner!  Many thanks to all who joined in assisting with setup/cleanup, blessing of garden, and the fellowship time that followed in the parish hall. Truly an opportunity for our attendees to appreciate each other's gift they share with the pantry!  Honestly....it takes a community to make all this happen weekly. Volunteers assist in the garden, stock the shelves, pickup for Mini Manna, assists with Big Manna deliveries, pickups at MilkCo, boxes, Sav-Mor, Flavor First, Bimbos, ABCCM, Humane Society, Wal-Mart, and Project Dignity. We also have grant writers and the 38 volunteers it takes to open on Saturday morning. 

.Our grant team recently submitted a grant to The Deerfield Foundation for a generator that would run all freezers, refrigerators, lights etc. at the pantry. At the time of Helene, we had a "mini generator" that connected   four of our units. Presently we have seventeen cold storage units, a large garden, and requesting much additional food from Manna. .We are welcoming 130+ families weekly. We are very fortunate to be the recipients of a Kohler generator. This addition will reduce loss of cold storage food and  allow us to be open "Rain or Shine!"                                                                                                                  

Saturday, we welcomed 154 families representing 522 individuals. There were 12 new families' representing 33 family members. Thank you, volunteers and our Spanish and Ukraine interpreters for your assistance with shopping.   

On behalf of our Pantry Board, we express our heartfelt gratitude for your generous food and monetary donations to our pantry. Your donations will make a significant impact on the lives of those in our community who are struggling with food insecurity.
