A shout out to Krystyna for her leadership last week at the pantry!   When the pantry opened in 2007, there was a "Go to Person " each week at the pantry.  We are brining that opportunity back!  One of your Pantry board members will volunteer each week,   assisting with Wednesday Manna Deliveries, Friday "Stocking Shelves," and Saturday distribution. Krystyna, is a natural leader!  Arriving at the crack of dawn on Saturday, along with Doug and Mike, the produce was staged, cooler filled, number counters hung inside and outside, volunteer area prepped with coffee and cookies, and numerous other opening responsibilities. One of the highlights of the morning was her warm welcome to our volunteers at gathering time. After sharing logistics of morning, volunteers were off to an incredibly busy day distributing food to 150 families!  

We had a wonderful surprise on Tuesday. Bric's Drip and Roll Food Truck donated bread secured from Amy's bakery. Neighbors will receive a bonus bread on Saturday. We are appreciative of donations from our community!

Doug Kearney, our Garden Master, announced no volunteering on Thursday. The good news is the carrots may be ready to harvest soon. On behalf of the pantry neighbors, thank you to all volunteers who have helped harvest the 100's of pounds of collards. Sue, Sylvia, and Randy witness the excitement when offered a bag of fresh collards!

Saturday, we welcomed 150 families representing 548 individuals. There were 10 new families' representing 27 family members. Thank you, volunteers and our Spanish and Ukraine interpreters for your assistance with shopping.   

On behalf of our Pantry Board, we express our heartfelt gratitude for your generous food and monetary donations to our pantry. Your donations will make a significant impact on the lives of those in our community who are struggling with food insecurity.
