TADA!!! Our Garden Frig has arrived and installed! On Thursday afternoon, we harvested lettuce and distributed to our neighbors on Saturday morning. WNC Bridge Foundation funded our refrigerator to store our garden produce! It is a charitable organization that works to produce funds to support and assist in meeting the many health challenges that face people in WNC.
Manna Food Bank spent Wednesday with us training our intake staff on a new program called MCI. Fred and Linda have spent hours preparing for this huge updated system. A special appreciation to our staff for the hours they have given in training and updating our documents for the transition to the new and improved MCI Program.
Saturday, we welcomed 145 families representing 549 individuals. There were 8 new families representing 15 family members. Thank you, all volunteers and our Spanish and Ukraine interpreters for your assistance with shopping.
On behalf of our Pantry Board, we express our heartfelt gratitude for your generous food and monetary donations to our pantry. Your donations will make a significant impact on the lives of those in our community who are struggling with food insecurity.
