What a day filled with happiness this past Saturday!  The shelves were filled to the brim thanks to the extra pickups from Manna and Sav-Mor.  Thank you Doug A. and Kim P. for your team of ready willing and waiting volunteers to unload the truck filled with pallets at our dock. Neighbors were overjoyed to find an assortment of meat to select from and a variety of fresh produce especially the carrots, beets, colorful bell peppers, tomatoes, and apples. Did I mention the generous donation of 100's of seed packets! As our neighbors exited the parking lot, a table filled with veggie seed and herbs were offered to one and all! 

On Wednesday, Jeff and I  were invited to be part of the Deerfield Charitable Foundation 2026 Volunteer Expo. We provided a display that included our mission and volunteer opportunities.  Geerte, Ray, Karen, Maggie, and Pete are residents at Deerfield and volunteer often on Saturday mornings. "An Enjoyable Time was had by All!"

Saturday, we welcomed 134 families representing 497 individuals. There were 12 new families representing 34 family members. We continue to need volunteers who can help with Spanish registrations. Once a month would be very helpful!  

On behalf of our Pantry Board, we express our heartfelt gratitude for your generous food and monetary donations to our pantry. Your donations will make a significant impact on the lives of those in our community who are struggling with food insecurity.
