Feel that energy?!  Our Pantry for the past month has been "Magnetic!" Preston Blakely, Mayor of Fletcher, delivered a quarter ton of food this weekend.  Over 100 new "neighbors" were welcomed and shopped for food over the past month. Manna offered us 1100 pounds of produce, protein, and canned goods on Tuesday and delivered the items. The Turkey Meal has been a huge success and meal items will be distributed this weekend (Nov. 22). There have been at least 20+ first time volunteers over the past month. Several of the new volunteers have offered to pick up Milco milk or the Sav-Mor order. Several Skyland Methodist youth and parents volunteered last Saturday. Fletcher Methodist and Nativity Lutheran have donated over 1,000 pounds of food over the last four weeks. WLOS filmed Chef Martha for the Carolina Kitchen segment. Chef Martha prepared a tasty seasonal Cranberry Dip recipe. Next she cooked chicken and added a delicious cider cream sauce. With these cooler days, her final dish was a warm winter lentil soup. Such positive energy coming from our community...for our community!

Saturday, we welcomed 180 families representing 686 individuals. There were 28 new families representing 89 family members. We continue to need volunteers who can help with Spanish registrations. Once a month would be very helpful! Thank You Tom, Vickie, and Hillary for answering the call!

On behalf of our Pantry Board, we express our heartfelt gratitude for your generous food and monetary donations to our pantry. Your donations will make a significant impact on the lives of those in our community who are struggling with food insecurity.
