Time to Roll up your Sleeve! The UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy interns will be at Food Pantry on Saturday, October 11, 2025  performing  blood sugar and blood pressure screenings.  We were notified that there may be flu vaccines available to our "neighbors" and volunteers.

Some of the farmers in our community at large offer the St. Andrew Gleaners the opportunity to "glean" produce from their farms. Brenda and her team have provided produce to us for the past several weeks. This past week they brought by 10 pails of tomatoes and lots of red delicious apples.

On Wednesday about 2:00, we'll be receiving a mini-Manna delivery. As volunteers Ann, Geena, and Ruth will tell you, we can check 350 dozen eggs for cracks in about 30 minutes and sort 500 pounds of produce in about 20 minutes. Would you like to be part of the EGG-cellent team? We are there rain or shine!  On Fridays, we could use a couple of folks to help with shelving cereal and bagging collards between 9-10am.

Saturday, we welcomed 118 families representing 422 individuals. There were 13 new families representing 29 family members. We continue to need volunteers who can help with Spanish registrations. Once a month would be very helpful!

On behalf of our Pantry Board, we express our heartfelt gratitude for your generous food and monetary donations to our pantry. Your donations make a significant impact on the lives of those in our community.
