The prelude is "Meditation" by Gabriel Dupont (1878-1914), French composer who tragically died of TB at 36. He was most known for his operas and chamber music, but he did study organ and other music subjects with the famous Massenet at the Paris Conservatory, and composition with Widor. With his father being a secondary school teacher and organist, he certainly had experience with church music.
Both the processional and Gospel hymns relate to the day's reading from Luke-- actually, the offertory hymn also. They are. in order: "Jesus shall reign" (544); "O Spirit of the living God" (531); "O Zion, haste" (539).
During communion we will sing "Beneath the cross of Jesus" (498), and "In the cross of Christ\I glory" (441), both relating to the reading from Galations.
The closing hymn, "Come, labor on" (541), relates back to the Gospel reading.
The postlude is Cesar Franck"s "Praise the Lord", based on Psalm 150, and a late composition; this is an arrangement by Rick Parks, the original including orchestra.
