There's a saying......"When it rains...it pours!" And that can be a good thing! Think of our current drought conditions just in our area! Our weekend rains were welcomed at my home. For the past several months we have been advertising in our newsletter for additional support for Spanish speaking individuals to assist us on Saturdays at the pantry. Rosa reached out to us from Manna with recommendations of individuals who were interested in assisting. We truly appreciate the staff at Manna reaching out the hand of friendship. This is important as we shop with our "neighbors" to be able to communicate with them.
Saturday, we welcomed 139 families representing 529 individuals. There were 11 new families representing 41 family members. Two new Spanish volunteers joined us on Saturday. Thank you Manna for reaching out to your volunteers requesting assistance to help us with Spanish registrations and shopping.
On behalf of our Pantry Board, we express our heartfelt gratitude for your generous food and monetary donations to our pantry. Your donations will make a significant impact on the lives of those in our community who are struggling with food insecurity.
