Food and Formation in Advent

Although the current conflict between Hamas and Israel was sparked by an attack on October 7, 2023, the issues which underlie it go as far back as some of the earliest stories in the Bible. During the season of Advent, we will try to outline those issues so that we can better understand the context of the current fighting. This exploration won’t try to fully explain what scholars spend a lifetime studying, but it may provide a starting point for a more nuanced view of the present day.
