Otho Hoyte will be our guest organist this Sunday, as I am recovering from very successful spinal surgery and not allowed to drive for one week...and let me add most sincere thanks for all prayers and best wishes!

The organ prelude will be "Agnus Dei" (Lamb of God), by the famous French composer, Georges Bizet (short life- 1838-1875), who is best known for his final opera, "Carmen", but was a proficient pianist and organist also.

All hymns are favorites of many--  Processional, 569; Gospel hymn, 620; Hymn at the offertory, 391; Hymn during communion 209; Closing hymn, 594.

Just into the 20th century for the postlude by the German composer, Sigfrid Karg-Elert (1877-1933), Otho will play his "Postludio Festivo".  Karg-Elert is best known for his organ compositions and is well known to all organists.

I should be able to start practicing the organ next week-- now hopefully without pain and/or numbness -- and look forward to returning to Calvary 6/16.  My thanks to Otho for his generosity in sharing his skills, and, again, thanks for the many prayers!
