As the jingle goes...April Showers bring May Flowers...And 813 pounds of produce from our garden and hoop house this year according to our Garden Master, Doug Kearney.   He adds too, that this was accomplished by volunteers who helped harvest throughout late winter and early spring. Thanks to Eileen's carful calculations, she posted on the office door that we welcomed 103 families this week representing 414 household members. Two new neighbor families registered with us.

Not only did we welcome new families but also several new volunteers. Just a reminder it takes at least 38 volunteers to work all our stations on Saturday. Volunteer opportunities are available on Friday and Saturday mornings and on MANNA week which is twice a month on Tuesday. During our summer and early fall months, we meet on Thursday evenings in the garden at 7:00pm.

Steady State's Band played at the Blue Ghost Brewery this past weekend. They collected $119 in tips and $150.00 as a donation from Blue Ghost Brewery.  It was an enjoyable time listening to the band and chatting with our community friends.

On behalf of the Executive Committee, we continue to thank our volunteers and our area churches, civic groups, local merchants, and families for all you do to feed our community by helping to reduce food insecurity.  We thank you and appreciate your food and monetary donations.
