The work and play of a parish community is not performed during Sunday worship, but in the groups which meet throughout the week for service and for fellowship. Episcopal Church Women (ECW) – All women of the parish are considered members of this group, which meets for service and fellowship. Quarterly meetings with programs and lunch are held during the week, and various fund raisers are spaced throughout the year.
Men’s
Group
– This is an organization which pitches in when help
around the church is
necessary. They are active in spring and fall clean-up, during the busy
Christmas season, and during other busy times of the year. They host an annual
barbeque, the funds from which go to Outreach projects.
Daughters
of the King – Founded in 1885, this is an Order for women devoted to prayer
and service.
Potential members study for 12 weeks before taking vows of a Rule of Life
which incorporates daily prayer and study.
St.
Anne’s Guild – A women’s guild which meets on a monthly basis for
fellowship and study. All women of the church are welcome to join.
Foyer
Groups
– Foyer is a French word meaning hearth or fireside,
suggesting a small, relaxed group. Groups of 6-8 adults or 3-4 families with
children meet once a month for a casual meal and fellowship. Foyer groups
develop and deepen friendships in our faith community. New groups are formed
in September and January.
Ladies
Night Out
– Women of all ages meet once a month at restaurants around town for fun,
fellowship and support. All parish women are welcome.
'Xtra
Years of Zest (XYZ) – A social group for retired adult parishioners. Monthly
meetings are varied and have ranged from pot luck lunches with a program to
out-of-town trips to locations of beauty or interest. Episcopal Youth Community (EYC) – A fellowship group which meets regularly throughout the school year on Sunday evenings for supper and a program. For youth in 6th - 12th grade, the middle school and senior high have their own programs. |
