Organist-Choirmaster:  J. Philip Dettra

What would church be without music? Hard to imagine. Organ and choir music is as much a part of worship as Bible lessons and the sermon. Calvary has several outlets for those blessed with musical ability.

Adult ChoirComposed of volunteers who love to praise God with their voices. The choir leads hymns, service music, and sings an anthem at the 10:30 a.m. service, and at special services throughout the year. Teenagers are welcome to join. Rehearsals are held on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday mornings at 9.30 a.m.

Instrumental Music– On feast days or other occasions, such as during the healing service, solo instruments are used to enhance worship. Do you play the ‘cello or flute? Are you part of a recorder quartet? We’d love you to share your gifts.

Special Musical Presentations – What’s the Christmas season without a children’s pageant? What’s Easter Day without a fanfare of trumpets? For those unable to commit to weekly rehearsals, these and other special presentations can offer a satisfying musical experience.
